We understand that there are some Nigerians who do know how far BBNAIJA, as it’s popularly called has come. We have brought it all up for your sake.

 

Big Brother Naija, which has been known as Big Brother Nigeria, is a Nigerian television series, competitive and educating, with a series of activities based on the Big Brother television franchise. In this competition, 12 to 21 contestants leave their homes and are made to live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize worth $171,428.57 equivalent to 60,000,000 Nigerian Naira, and other material gifts, but at the end of the show and at the mercy of the viewers who have the power to either make a contestant stay in the competition or is evicted by vote.

 

BIG BROTHER NAIJA SEASON 1

 

The first season of the show was first aired on DStv Channel 37 from March 5 to June 4, 2006.

The voting results were verified by the auditing company of Alexander-Forbes. 14 housemates who competed for this prestigious prize. Katung Aduwak emerged the winner of the first season with Fransisca Owumi emerging as the runner up after some exciting twists from the Big Brother.


BIG BROTHER NAIJA SEASON 2

 

The second season of Big Brother Nigeria (entitled Big Brother Naija) came up 11 years after the first season, on 22 January 2017. Efe Ejeba emerged winner of the second season in 2017.

BIG BROTHER NAIJA SEASON 3

 

The third season of Big Brother Nigeria (entitled Big Brother Naija) started on January 28, 2018. Miracle Igbokwe from Imo State emerged winner of the third season in 2018.

BIG BROTHER NAIJA SEASON 4

 

The fourth season of Big Brother Nigeria (entitled Big Brother Naija), unlike the previous years, the stage was set in Lagos, Nigeria. The show kick-started on June 30, 2019, with 21 housemates who entered the house from the first day and 5 more housemates who entered the house a month later, making a total of 26 housemates.

Mercy Eke was crowned the winner of the fourth season. She also became the first female winner of the show in Nigeria. She received ₦60 million worth of prizes.

BIG BROTHER NAIJA SEASON 5

Season 5 is excitedly the current season. Housemates have started making strides ab initio (from the beginning), intending to win the prize. It commenced July 19 and it is ongoing. Interestingly, Nengi has been appointed Head of House, Wanthoni as an assistant.

I WAS PAID! LADY WHO ACCUSED PROPHET TB JOSHUA OF MOLESTING HER SEXUALLY CONFESSED.

  Pastor TB Joshua was accused of sexually molesting a lady, but the accusation has taken a different twist with the Lady involved coming out to confess that she was paid to smear the integrity and name of the Man of God. Vicki Royce, an upcoming singer based in Lagos State, is the Lady involved. She confessed that "she was paid to carry out the evil act" in accusing TB Joshua of allegedly raping her. According to her, she has experienced a mental breakdown ever since her name was embroiled in the scandal. You do recall that shortly after the rape scandal between Busola Dakolo and Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo erupted, multiple Nigerian blogs carried the news that Royce was equally raped by Pastor TB Joshua in 2012, though Royce did not reportedly mention his name  when she recounted the purported sexual assault.
