Pastor TB Joshua was accused of sexually molesting a lady, but the accusation has taken a different twist with the Lady involved coming out to confess that she was paid to smear the integrity and name of the Man of God.
Vicki Royce, an upcoming singer based in Lagos State, is the Lady involved. She confessed that "she was paid to carry out the evil act" in accusing TB Joshua of allegedly raping her. According to her, she has experienced a mental breakdown ever since her name was embroiled in the scandal.
You do recall that shortly after the rape scandal between Busola Dakolo and Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo erupted, multiple Nigerian blogs carried the news that Royce was equally raped by Pastor TB Joshua in 2012, though Royce did not reportedly mention his name when she recounted the purported sexual assault.
After some weeks, Royce made a plea online that TB Joshua wasn't the man that assaulted her, but then, the story had already spread wide on the social media platforms.
Vicki has reportedly taken to the streets of Lagos deliriously roaming about. She has been reported to be saying to TB Joshua " I beg you! I was paid to accuse you of rape. Please pray for me so that I can get better."
The news comes on the heels of a video which has gone viral, having another famed accuser of TB Joshua, Bisola Johnson, suffering her own mental disorder years earlier in TB Joshua's church and pleading for his help.
This is not the first occurrence of incidents like this.
A video was on the surface once in Emmanuel TV's YouTube channel reporting an ex-militant's confession that he was recruited by a Nigerian church to smear Joshua in public crusades in exchange for monetary rewards and this has been viewed for over 200,000 times.
The Cleric, who is known for his dove-like nature, calm and meek, despite all the innumerable attacks on his personality, described his haters as 'providing free advertisements for his ministry."
He said "let people advertise you. Don't fight back. If truly you are real, genuine, whatever people say about you, whether they condemn you or spoil your name, it is for your good. If truly you are sent by God, it will turn around to favor you."
Is this a lesson to others who may be planning this sort of things?
