THE HAND OF FRIENDSHIP.
The hand of friendship is like the 'tik tok' movement of the clock. It works and shakes every hand daily.Each time it stretches out, the other hand reciprocates because only his hand cannot perform the duty. Just as the clock moves clockwisely when deciding how each day works and looks like,so is the hand of friendship. It moves daily with the other hand and knows wich hand is fair and just.It doesn't select which hand it shakes.
Each hand that stretches forth arm, it agrees and accepts with warth and cheers. Can you think? Is your memory okay? Is your reasoning high? Then, you shouldn that not all hands in the world you have to shake. Does every battery fits into any wall clock? Of course, not. Then, what makes you think that every hand that stretches forth to shake you is the hand of a friend? Mostly, hands that shake you do that for mutuality purpose or sake. You shake other hands for mutuality sake too. Most times, as stated, we select the friends we make and keep.
What then is FRIENDSHIP? What is the purpose of friendship?
Friendship is like the salt which if not in an african pot of soup, is incomplete. Friendship knows no season,it knows no time;butbit has a sole intention of bringing people together to a time called "Forever."
so, you see, it means thatdifferent hands will shake you and go; but the hand of friendship will shake you and stay because both hands are on a journey to a land called "forever."
I hope you're not thinking that the course of friendship runs smooth? Then, your thoughts are wrong. Is there an art work that is flawless? Aren't aware that every man is an art work? Yes, you are an art work! That's why you are called God's creative work. God is the divine artist. There can never be friendship without misunderstandings, just as each time the battery of your cell phone gets weak, it stops functioning and then it needs to be recharged, friendship needs to be born anew every day to keep it strong, it requires maturity and a sense of purpose.
When misunderstandings come, true friends will quarrel and go their separate ways. Mind you, for each day that passes,a hunter remains a hunter. True friends are true friends. For every moment they stay apart, they feel each other's absence. They both feel incomplete. What happens? One walks up to the other and say " I am sorry for what happened." The other who has also been feeling incomplete and wishing always to have seen his face gives up easily. Oh! you think it's not possible? It is my dear. That is why when you replace the dead battery of a clock with a new one, the clock doesn't reset itself before it starts working. It starts clinching automatically from where it stopped.
